Even if you brush your teeth a few minutes after consumption, you already did the act of damaging your teeth. As such, he suggests removing soft drinks from every meal.
Even diet variants are not safe. These may reduce calorie intake, but they still have the same amount of acidity like any other soft drink. If you cannot resist drinking, however, it is best to use a straw to minimise contact with your teeth. Drinking fluoridated water after drinking soft drinks is ideal to remove the sugar from your mouth, as well.
Fizzy drinks may be refreshing, but you are risking your teeth by exposing them to the high acidity. It is best to understand why you need to reduce or stop consuming this drink, so you will not regret the consequences in the future.
